World’s smallest Rubik’s Cube goes on sale, with a puzzling price tag

September 2020, Tokyo — A Japanese company has created what it’s billing as the world’s smallest working Rubik’s Cube.
Measuring a mere 0.39 inches and weighing less than a tenth of an ounce, the “ultra-precision” aluminum toy, which comes with its own pedestal, is tiny enough to fit on a penny or a postage stamp.

The world’s smallest Rubik’s Cube has gone on sale to mark the 40th anniversary of the original 3D puzzle.
The tiny but playable cube, made of ‘ultra-precision metal’, measures just 9.9 millimetres across and weighs two grams.
