A nostalgic clip of Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze’s screen test for Dirty Dancing has resurfaced.
The video was filmed during the development phase of the 1987 classic, presumably to gauge Swayze and Grey’s on-screen chemistry.
The sequence was even the subject of a fact-check by Snopes over the weekend, which reached the conclusion that a popular online clip of the screen test appeared to be authentic.
We’re having the time of our lives looking at these “Dirty Dancing”-inspired Halloween decorations… even if the skeletons reenacting the movie’s classic lift scene might not be.
And we owe it all to Joseph Lee from Park Ridge, Illinois.
“I’m an ’80s kid… so I was like, ‘What are some of the [’80s movies] that everybody’s seen?'” Lee told “Good Morning America.”

collaborating with the studio on an untitled dance movie in which she will star and executive produce. But it refused to say if the project was tied to the 1987 hit “Dirty Dancing.”
Feltheimer said during Thursday’s call that it was indeed a “Dirty Dancing” movie.
“And to reveal one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood, we’re pleased to confirm that Jennifer Grey will both executive produce and star in a new ‘Dirty Dancing’ movie for Lionsgate from ‘Warm Bodies’ director Jonathan Levine,” he said.
“It will be exactly the kind of romantic, nostalgic movie that the franchise’s fans have been waiting for and that have made it the biggest-selling library title in the Company’s history.”
Some 33 years after mastering that gravity-defying lift, Baby Houseman is back to help a new version of the beloved classic find footing in the 21st century.

If you’ve ever seen the 1987 film Dirty Dancing, then you’ll have heard Jennifer Warnes and Bill Medley’s hit song, (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.
You know, the catchy tune that plays during the swoon-worthy final dance sequence, when Baby gets up on stage with Johnny in front of the whole resort and struts her stuff.
The song was a huge success, soaring to number one in the US after the film’s release and going on to win various awards – including an Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe.
But it turns out, the track very nearly didn’t make it into existence, let alone the movie.
