… Minogue has spoken about the track’s existence in interviews for years and has mentioned that her record label wasn’t interested in the idea of him producing it all himself, so she never got to record it. She has also mentioned that the Prince Estate might also have a copy.

Thirty-two years after virtuosic rocker Prince and Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue teamed up for a collaboration, their-previously unheard efforts have now reportedly been leaked online.

The track, titled “Baby Doll”, has been discussed at length by fans of the Purple One, with its origins tracing back to the Australian leg of Prince’s Diamonds and Pearls tour in April and May of 1992. Recorded at Sydney’s Studios 301 during his visit to the country, Prince and Minogue reportedly connected during the former’s performance at London’s Earl’s Court in June of the same year.

Unheard Michael Jackson music unearthed in abandoned storage unit

Excerpts:

The songs were recorded between 1989 and 1991 and will never be released to public, per his estate mj_Unreleased

A total of 12 tapes were uncovered, dating between 1989 and 1991. According to Musgrove’s inventory list, at total of 15 unheard songs were found on the tapes, some of which had previously been teased, or have had snippets leaked.

Some songs have been completely unheard of.

Among those unreleased songs is a collaboration with LL Cool J titled ‘Truth On Youth’ – earlier this year the rapper confirmed they had recorded music together but that the songs weren’t “good enough” to be released.

… According to The Hollywood Reporter, it appears that outside of Jackson’s estate, it seems Musgrove would be the only one to hear the tapes. Musgrove and his attorney approached Jackson’s estate with the tapes, but noted that the late King Of Pop’s estate declined to purchase the tapes.

How one Ventura County stay-at-home dad came into possession of material recorded between 1989 and 1991 by the King of Pop.

When former California Highway Patrol officer turned stay-at-home dad Gregg Musgrove started “treasure hunting,” the 56-year-old certainly never imagined he’d end up with a king’s bounty — the King of Pop, that is.

A trove of cassette and DAT tapes containing unreleased Michael Jackson tracks were found in a storage unit deep in the San Fernando Valley. Musgrove’s journey to the tapes began when an associate contacted him about a storage unit he’d recently bought in Van Nuys. The unit once belonged to Bryan Loren, a music producer and singer (whose current whereabouts are unknown, according to Musgrove).

20 Facts About Generation X by Jake Rossen

Excerpts:

After Baby Boomers but before Millennials is Generation X, the people born between the period of 1965 and 1980 and with an age range of 41 to 56 who were the first to get hip to the internet, wore parachute pants, and who may have worried Y2K was going to ruin the world.

But there’s more to this category of humans than ’90s references. Check out some things you may not have realized about the inarguably dopest social construct. genX_graphic

1. GENERATION X WAS NAMED AFTER A BOOK.
The Baby Boomers were the first named generation, after the kids who arrived—a literal baby boom—when their parents began to settle down after World War II. Generation X didn’t have a war that sparked it. Instead, it was words: author Douglas Coupland’s 1991 book Generation X: Tales for An Accelerated Culture. The novel about disenfranchised post-Boomers struck a nerve and the name stuck.

3. GENERATION X IS ALSO KNOWN AS “THE FORGOTTEN GENERATION.”
It’s because Baby Boomers and Millennials tend to get all the romanticized media attention, leaving Generation X comparatively ignored.

Animaniacs Cartoon Show to Be Rebooted (2020)

I used to watch Animaniacs in the 1990s, when I was a college student. I loved Pinky and the Brain – I think Pinky and the Brain were a spin off of that show?

At any rate, here are links about it:

Hulu’s Animaniacs Reboot Is Coming to Wreak Havoc This November

‘Animaniacs’, ‘Monsterland’ & Other Hulu Shows Set Premiere Dates

The new Animaniacs, from Amblin Television and Warner Bros. Animation and again exec produced by Steven Spielberg, will bow Friday, November 20 — some 22 years after the original wrapped its run.

Well, Whitney Houston recorded a version of it years ago, and recently, it was remade by Kygo and released. Below, I will you to the Kygo-Whitney Houston version on You Tube, as well as the pre-Kygo Houston versions as well.

Wang Chung – Music Suggestions

If you grew up during the 1980s, watched Mtv or listened to pop music on the radio, you probably heard Wang Chung’s “Dance Hall Days” (listen on You Tube, audio only) and “Everybody Have Fun Tonight”  (listen on You Tube, audio only).

In 1997, Wang Chung released a song called “Space Junk,” (link to song on You Tube, audio only) which you may be familiar with if you watch the AMC zombie television show “The Walking Dead,” because it’s been used in scenes featuring the character Rick Grimes.

You can also listen to these songs in the embedded videos below; if the songs are ever removed (on the particular You Tube account(s)), please visit You Tube’s home page and search for the band’s / singer’s name and song title to perhaps find copies of them:
